BEFORE: This client had recently inherited pieces of furniture from her mother. She wanted to honor her mother's memory by incorporating some of her mother's belongings. There was too much furniture in the room and it lacked a cohesive seating area.

AFTER: Remove some of the unnecessary pieces of furniture from the room (screen, rocker). Switch location of sofa to create an inviting seating area into the space as opposed to seeing the back of the sofa. The room lacked a coffee table and one did not exist in the house. A cobbler's bench that belonged to her grandfather was found in the basement. The bench is now repurposed as a coffee table (a good example of green redesign).
